Another season has flown by but this one had some decent action throughout. Good water in September let the fishing really top up some consistent summer scoring. Springtime was much better than the previous year too so word has it that this years total might be around double last years predominantly dry season. This is the case on many rivers so let’s hope nature deals a spawning winter of replenishment rather than destruction from big spates.

The Helmsdale company has also benefited from a season of good water and some stunning new RS salmon flies, it’s been one of our busiest ever and the message we keep putting out there is finally getting through, please please keep ordering well in advance to ensure you get the flies you want in good time for your fishing, we would go as far as say why don’t you put your fly order in at the same time you book your fishing & accom etc for next season then you don’t need to worry about calling us last minute when it’s too late for our deadly flies to be tied up in time! We have had to disappoint one or two people when it was simply impossible to tie up certain flies and hit destination on time, but hey, that’s fishing so please think about your flies well in advance as we advise, then there is no panic, "fail to plan, plan to fail" its that simple.

So the fishing season may be over in most rivers but Tweed and a few others are still open for business for a month or two yet so let’s point you in the direction of out cracking autumn fly sets and our awesome new “Autumn Series” flies which you can see at the top of our homepage on the website - stunning new HellFire tubes with an explosion of Redness and our lethal UV & Solar hits throughout the flies giving them our unique edge that so many salmon anglers are now using to great effect.

One more exciting thing is that since our RS UV and Solar flies are really getting seriously major traction now, we are introducing some pure Solar & UV flies in unique boxed sets with an option of a really cool gold plaque for your personal gifting message. If you want to order the Plaque option just pop your message in the "comments" section and we will get right on to it, it’s a lovely touch and complements our stunning UV/Solar fly sets for Christmas, birthday or even retirement gifts.
