There are still no fish reported off the river but few rods are venturing out due to the cold conditions. The river remains frost free however and just above freezing so there is a decent chance of a January fish when you consider that here are sea-liced fish being caught daily on the Tay which is running at a cool 36 degrees. 

I have just learned from Ghillie George Sutherland that Achentoul rods have kindly been officially offered free to local permit holders until Saturday February 7th with another Feb week possible later. Anyone interested in fishing these rods please book through the Tackle shop. The rotation starts on beat 1 Monday and ends beat 2 Saturday.
